Session Description:

This interactive session is designed for admission professionals interested in moving up without sacrificing their personal life. Three admission veterans will share their experiences successfully balancing their professional and personal lives.

Session Title: Across a Different Desk: Financial Aid from Both Sides Now

Session Description:

Two former financial aid administrators, now college counseling professionals, share what time on the other side of the desk taught them about how families experience the college financing process. We will offer advice about how colleges can communicate more effectively and streamline their systems to assist students and parents.

Session Description:

Session Title: Building anti-racism college access practices

Session Description:

A panel dialogue hosted by the College Access Anti-racism Coalition. Discussion explores the importance of anti-racist theory and its application in the college access and success field. The panel will reflect on The People's Institute's Undoing Racism training and how they have begun to build anti-racist practices in their respective organizations.

Session Description:

Session Description:

The first year of performance results on the new SAT® sets the baseline for SAT performance going forward. Session Title: Confronting Bias: Helping Students of Color Survive at PWI’s

Session Description:

Students matriculating into higher education from socio-economic/racial backgrounds not frequently represented struggle with the transition. Many are unprepared to tackle acclimating to college, while also combating microaggressions and negotiating their “difference.” Participants will be equipped with strategies, resources, and conversation-starters to prepare students for what they will encounter on-campus.
